Manas Microsystems Pvt Ltd is one of the Indian manufacturers, that pioneered flow instrumentation and has a range of products like Electromagnetic Flow Meters, BTU Meters, Gas and Steam Flow Metering Systems, etc. In the second edition of the Boiler India 2022 exhibition scheduled from the 14th to 16th of September 2022 at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Navi Mumbai, Manas Microsystems will exhibit their wide range of process instrumentation solutions for the boiler and steam industry.
A global player in the field of process automation, Pune-based Manas Microsystems was established in the year 1998 by Shrikant Sahasrabudhe and Madhura Sahasrabudhe. Manas Microsystems from their initial days identified the need for quality instruments for process automation and carved a niche in the field of Magnetic Flow Meters, BTU meters and other flow metering systems.
Manas Microsystems are all geared up for celebrating its silver jubilee, and participating in the second edition of the Boiler India exhibition organised by Orangebeak Technologies. "Our growth is the result of our people and the market-driven products offered by us from time to time", said Shrikant Sahasrabudhe, Founder and Managing Director of Manas Microsystems Private Limited, talking exclusively to Machine Maker.
"We are an ISO 9001: 2005 certified manufacturing unit with a global footprint", said Shrikant Sahasrabudhe who started his entrepreneurial journey with a vision to build a strong manufacturing ecosystem for process instruments. Launched in 2001, the Electric Flow Meter from Manas Microsystems are developed indigenously and is widely installed across India and worldwide. "Working with TATA for years has made us one of the renowned companies in Flow instrumentation", added Mr Sahasrabudhe.
Their first export was in South Korea, regardless of the barriers Shrikant Sahasrabudhe and his team were able to close the deal. As they expanded, more orders started to appear from New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and the Middle East. As Manas Microsystems is counting its 25 years, they have set up its calibration system which assists them to maintain quality.
"We are known for the durability and reliability of our products", shared Mr Sahasrabudhe. Their products are known as durable and of high quality with a life of more than 15 years with no damage. With a team who are involved deeply in the production, quality and all the operations, Manas Microsystems is a women-empowered organisation, as they champion gender equality.
Pricing were never a huge challenge for Manas Microsystems to maintain the world's best quality of its products. “The main hurdle was the mentality of the people who were leaning towards foreign products”, commented Mr Sahasrabudhe. Most people think ‘imported’ means ‘quality’ and due to this reason, the small manufacturers get overshadowed.
Manas Microsystems had made the services their priority, and the aim is to provide solutions to the challenges thrown at them by their customers. Manas Microsystems is exhibiting the critical instruments required for the Boiler industry.
One of their flagship product Steam Flow Measurement made a huge impact on the industry, which can also be used as CNG Flow Meter. By doing the pressure and temperature compensation any variation can be eliminated. These differential flow meters have a range of 100% to 30%, but Manas Micrometer has overcome this range and offers 100% to 10% of measurement. The controller also detects the superated or saturated steam and accordingly it is taken care of. The installation at sight is very tedious, but eliminating the complications they have made installation very easy.
Digital Draft Transmitters and Draft Indicators will be also on display, the products which convert the draft into an electrical signal and can be displayed anywhere. These Draft Transmitters are keyboard configurable and calibrated very precisely, and these instruments provide the best Boiler efficiency. The Gauges are still available but they are mechanical, Manas Microsystem provides digital gauges which can control and maintain the draft with ease.
Combustion air measurement is also very important for Boilers. It is generally done by a differential measure transmitter which is very expensive. Manas Microsystems offers a simple solution by introducing the Thermal Mass Flow Meter Probe. This product is installed in the ducts which makes it easy to measure. “No company in the world has a product that can measure steam condensate flow rate” comments Mr Sahasrabudhe talking about their Electromagnetic Flow Meter.
