Developments in electronics are moving at lightning speed. That is why KELLER components are also regularly examined to see whether they can continue to meet our strict requirements - and those of our customers.

Our X-Line products have undergone such a change in electronics. In other words, a completely new electronics series has been developed, complete with improved specifications and more digital interfaces. And of course fully compatible with the trusted KELLER communication protocol and software.

This development concerns more than 40 KELLER series. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, this adjustment will therefore be implemented in phases. The first series have been equipped with the new electronics since June 2021, with a new firmware version and an updated Modbus protocol.

The modification concerns the following series: 23X, 23SX, 26X, 33X, 35X, 36X, 36XW, PD-33X. The change also applies to custom-made sensors that are equipped with the X-Line electronics (type numbers with an “X” such as the 10LX). The user will not notice any changes to the electronics. There are no changes in usage. But because the latest updates have been installed, the result is that the electronics react faster and - immediately noticeable - that we can determine in the software before delivery which output signal the sensor will receive. Analogue, digital, RS485, SDI-12, I2C, in our production we can now flexibly choose which signal we give the sensor.

The well-known high accuracy and competitive price of KELLER sensors now have the added advantage that they are equipped with the latest electronics for many different applications.

CANopen is the communication protocol for bus systems in the automotive industry. CANopen software ensures a universal exchange of data and controls all kinds of basic functions such as an address - to be able to address a participant directly - or a heartbeat - to continuously check whether participants are still present or active. The Series 23SX-C sensors now have a CANopen output. So the automotive industry can now benefit even more from KELLER quality. Whatever you want to measure in terms of pressure, we are happy to take on the challenge.

The new Series 21Zio is the first KELLER sensor with I/O link.

The compact pressure transmitters of the 21Zio series can be used both as pressure transmitters and as pressure switches. Thanks to the universal IO-Link interface according to IEC 61131-9, the sensor is flexible and can be easily and quickly integrated into intelligent automation and other systems. The switching functions and other parameters can be called up and configured directly via IO-Link. In this way, machine downtimes are kept to a minimum and personnel are relieved.

Our products are based on capacitive or piezoresistive measuring cells. KELLER AG für Druckmesstechnik is the inventor and the world's largest manufacturer of piezoresistive OEM pressure sensors.
